POSITION TITLE

 

Substitute ECE Child Care Kitchen Aide—Monument Valley High School COPE Center

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. High School Diploma or G.E.D. minimum.
  2. Valid Arizona State Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  3. Must be 18 years of age or older.
  4. Verifiable experience with infant and toddlers and children in a group setting.
  5. No history of drug or alcohol use, of child abuse, or found guilty of immoral conduct involving children.
  6. Valid Food Handler’s permit, First Aid, and infant and child CPR.
  7. Must obtain TB skin test, physical examination, and fingerprint clearance card prior to employment.
  8. Demonstrate a positive, caring, and professional attitude for children and high school students.
  9. Must be Child Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) certified.

JOB GOAL

 

To maintain an organized, hygienic, and environmentally safe kitchen; to serve wholesome and attractive meals that meet the children’s nutritional needs, and to make meal time a pleasant and sociable experience; to provide a safe and healthy environment for the children in the COPE Center.

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Purchases food and snacks for the COPE center.
  2. Prepares and serves two meals and a snack on a daily basis for infants and toddlers.
  3. Performs cleaning duties in the kitchen and all eating areas.
  4. Maintains daily a hygienic kitchen and eating environment, including the sanitary preparation of infant bottles.
  5. Complies, maintains records, and reports of the Child Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).
  6. Maintains records of menus and food served to children, making sure three (3) components are served for breakfast; four (4) components are served for lunch, and select a snack from two of the four components using the CACFP meal pattern.
  7. Complies with Arizona Department of Health sanitation requirements.
  8. Assists in the infant or toddler room as needed.
  9. Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Temporary and on-call timesheet basis.
